Public Forum

The Parish Council has recently made it easier for residents to ask questions of the Council. Called PUBLIC FORUM, residents will be able to ask questions, raise issues of concern, make a statement about local issues or draw relevant to the Council’s attention.

PUBLIC FORUM is the first agenda item at all Council and Committee meetings, where Members of the public are invited to address as Council as above, prior to the commencement of the business of the meeting.

We would draw your attention to the following guidelines as to the management of PUBLIC FORUM –

• There is a time limit of three minutes per person. Any extension to this time will be at the discretion of the Chairman.

• If you ask a question, either the Chairman of the meeting will respond or a written response will be given after the meeting.

• If the issue you wish to raise at the meeting is not already on the agenda, you will need to give advance notice in writing by 12 noon of the day of the meeting

• Once PUBLIC FORUM is completed, you are welcome to remain for the remainder of the meeting, but there will be no further opportunity for further comment
