LETTING POLICY
FOR
HOLBROOK TYTHE BARN,
NORTH HEATH HALL
AND
ROFFEY MILLENNIUM HALL

North Horsham Parish Council is committed to the provision of facilities to the residents of North Horsham, both now and in the future, for cultural and community based events, education, recreation and sport. The Parish Council is also committed to the involvement and support of the local business community and to the provision of facilities to that sector.

The aim of this Policy is to consolidate the aims of the Parish Council in respect of the letting of the three Community Centre venues - The Tythe Barn, North Heath Hall and Roffey Millennium Hall.

1. It is the Policy of the Parish Council to promote culural and community based activities within the parish.

2. It is the Policy of the Parish Council to not allow its Community Centre venues to be used for events that could cause dispuption, disturbance and upset to residents living near to the three Community Centres. It is the Policy of the Parish Council to refuse bookings at any of the Community Centre venues for such events.

3. It is the Policy of the Parish Council not to let any of its Community Centre venues for the certain types of events, such as:--

o Auction type sales, as advised by West Sussex County Council Trading Standards Department
o Car Boot Sales to be held in the car-parks of The Tythe Barn or North Heath Hall

4. It is the Policy of the Parish Council that all events at all the Parish Council's Community Centre venues shall cease and there be no bookings made beyond the following times:--

Monday to Thursday 11pm
Friday and Saturday 11.30pm
Sunday 10.30pm

5. This Policy should be read in conjunction with the Parish Council's Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire, which shall be delivered to all Hirers of the Community Centre venues at the time, or as near as possible to, the date of booking, a copy of which shall e returned top the apropriate hall manager, duly signed by the hirer before the date of hire.

6. It is the Policy of the Parish Council that the Standard Terms and Conditions of Hire are available for perusal by members of the general public at each of the Community Centre venues.

7. In order to ensure that the Parish Council's Policy objectives are being met, reviews of the Policy will be made periodically, but in any event, every twelve months. The Review will be undertaken with reference to a review of the level of Lettings made in each Community Centre venue, the number of Lettings refused, the number of complaints received from local residents or other persons, and any other information that may be available to the Parish Council.

8. The Parish Council reserves the right to amend, modify or withdraw any part of, or all of, this policy.
